The IGNITE Program is for enthusiastic high school students who are interested in exploring the world of science and technology while developing essential skills of various types.
The IGNITE Program contains generalized and specialized courses that either help students explore STEM topics to discover their interests, or focus on a specific subject matter to master a skill. Whether you are interested in learning the basics, or becoming more skilled in a specific area such as Web Development, App Development, Game Development or 3D modeling, there is something for every students’ learning needs.
Courses within the IGNITE Program are developed with special thought and in consideration of the Ontario Science, Technology and Computer Science curriculum.
Anyone in grades 9 to 12 can sign up for an IGNITE course.
Weekday evenings - click on each course above to find out when they take place!
Learners who do not have previous experience in coding, computer aided design (CAD) and graphic design are recommended to take the Coding and Design Fundamentals course, prior to taking any other IGNITE courses.
Learners who already have experience in the given content areas (eg. from school or previous programs), the Coding and Design Fundamentals course is not required.
