Web Development 101 (STEM Hacks Winners)

Congratulations to the winners of STEM Hacks 2017. For your great work at the competition, we invite you to a Web Development workshop facilitated by experts from Meristics and XL Consulting Group. This 5 hour workshop (with one hour for lunch and two short breaks) will teach you how to create your own website and in addition, teach you how to add special effects to your newly created website. Come and join us for another Saturday full of learning and fun!

4th Annual Trivia Night

With the end of yet another exciting and successful year of the Mathstronauts Afterschool Program, we’re hosting our 4th Annual Trivia Night event, in which our students and their families are invited out for a fun night of Trivia and an awards ceremony! Join us at the cozy Williams Café to play in teams of 4-5 (you can play as a family and invite your friends too) for a chance to win great prizes! Come celebrate with us at Trivia Night – rumor has it that prizes include a tablet and many many gift cards!

Mathstronauts Afterschool Program

The Mathstronauts Afterschool Program is a weekly program in which students explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics by tackling cool projects, building models and creating prototypes; students learn various concepts in STEM and gain skills of Coding (C++/Arduino) and 3D Printing! The program is once a week for six months, making up about 22 sessions in total. The program is offered at selected schools within the Hamilton/Halton regions. Learn more

STEM Hacks 2017

STEM Hacks is a fun one day hackathon in which middle school students solve a challenge related Science or Engineering. Groups of middle school students are paired with Mentors to come up with an awesome solution that is presented to a panel of judges for a chance to win! Participants also get to attend workshops, build skills (eg. coding), meet STEM professionals and make friends! Learn more
